Roots to Rhinestones: A Dolly Birthday Bash! Celebrate Dolly Parton on Saturday, January 18th, from 4 PM - 12 AM at The Pines Downtown, right where her legendary journey began as we ring in her special day! Our historic venue, where Dolly gave her very first paid performance (and won a greasy pole competition), is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening honoring Sevierville's sweetheart.

Step into a dazzling Dolly world, complete with a special Dolly Exhibit showcasing iconic pieces from her personal collection, including her famous wigs, costumes, and more! Sip on specialty cocktails (and mocktails!) inspired by her songs and life while enjoying Dolly’s greatest hits all night long. Cupcakes will be first come, first served, so be sure to grab one while they’re available!

Please note entrants are expected to be on site during the entirety of the event. 

The celebration of the craft that helped put Tennessee on the map, Tennessee Songwriters Week, begins with qualifying rounds at over 50 participating music venues beginning late January to early February. From there, select songwriters will move on to one of seven Tennessee Songwriters Week showcases. The showcases around the state highlight cities and regions that played a major role in the musical development of Tennessee across a diverse range of genres like blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, soul, rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll. One songwriter from each showcase will be chosen to perform at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe during a private event in March. Each of the finalists will also receive additional prizes, including a one-year membership to Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and a commemorative Taylor guitar.
